Rajen Persaud - RaJen - is a stand-up comedian, filmmaker, screen writer, author and lecturer. He began his writing in college by choosing provocative subjects for required papers. While everyone chose typical freshman topics Rajen wrote about the origins of the Klu Klux Klan. This was to begin years of study into race relations.

He began his comedy career while still in college and after his second performance he was a paid comedian. In his first few years RaJen shared the stage with the likes of the legendary Charlie Barnett, the late Robin Harris.

He briefly moved to Atlanta Georgia where he instantly became a regular at the Comedy Act Theatre. Arriving in LA a few months later RaJen quickly became a regular on the comedy scene working with notables such as Chris Tucker, Bruce Bruce, Jay Anthony Brown, Kim Coles and many others.While in LA working and performing RaJen created and published his first book Making It Through College. The writing bug had bitten him again.

Back home in New York he wrote produced directed and starred in a feature film Souls Of Black Folks.
The writing of Why Black Men Love White Women was a result of an spirited phone conversation he had in the spring of 2002. He lives in New York City and is briskly at work on his next book. While not sleeping, RaJen still performs, lectures, writes and produces.
